Kurt E. Magnuski, Vice President
Mr. Magnuski joined American Marketing Services in October 2006 as a Marketing Officer, and was promoted to Vice President in April 2011. His primary roles at AMS include market research activities for community redevelopment initiatives and the production of site and market studies for rental and for-sale developments seeking state, local and federal funding. Mr. Magnuski also contributes to the firm’s marketing consulting and real-estate brokerage services.
Mr. Magnuski has completed over 100 market studies or related research assignments. Mr. Magnuski has experience with a wide spectrum of housing product, from senior and special needs housing to high-end condominiums. In addition to work in the Chicagoland area and downstate Illinois, Mr. Magnuski has completed numerous research assignments in Wisconsin and Indiana.
Before joining AMS, Mr. Magnuski worked as Rent Analyst for the Housing Authority of the County of Cook (HACC). He began there as student intern in 2004 and was later rehired in 2005 as a consultant. At the HACC, Mr. Magnuski revised and streamlined the rent determination system for the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Other responsibilities included database management and ensuring compliance with internal and federal regulations.
Mr. Magnuski holds a Master of Urban Planning degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago, with a focus on economic development. In addition, he also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, both from American University in Washington, DC.
Mr. Magnuski is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in Illinois, and a Realtor.
